Dave — Great blog you have going here! I have added you to my feed reader, so I don’t miss any of YOUR great ideas.

An additional thought on the recorders: If you own Dragon Naturally Speaking, you can configure it so that you can load the digital voice files you create, and it will make a transcript of your ideas and thoughts which you can keep for future reference, print out for posting or sharing with employees, etc.

Hi Dave,

Great article – I use a recording app on my IPhone, but voicemail works too, if you don’t mind waiting. I agree with you, the point is – record it!

Love the blog – I have just started on the Profit Loophole journey. I would love your input on proven outsourcing folks that know your system, and have proven themselves. Your recommendations would be so much better than digging around in ScriptLance.

I’ve had the same thing happen to me. I tell myself I’ll remember the idea, but I never do. I found my old digital recorder, Google’d the instruction info. and am ready for the ideas when they come….I recon every business person should have something similar….

Hey Dave,

I thought I was the only one that forgot all my ideas!!

It is refreshing to know that others have the same problems as me.

Seriously though, your suggestion to use a digital recorder of sorts is great. I often have a pen and paper with me, but cannot use it when driving, so the ideas get lost.

Second, awesome idea about recording ideas. I always take a drive every nite down by the bay (Pacific NW) and always come up with what I feel are ground-breaking ideas. By the time I get home – poof! gone. Thanks for the tip-

Hey Dave. Yea, ideas for new projects or services come in a flurry it seams. For instance..”french fry holder”, an idea I had years ago. Your driving..you need a place to store your hot yummy fries and easily pick from the “fry vine”..anyway, you get the idea. Shared it with others and they laughed. And now what do we have out there.. the FryPod. Oh well.

My family bought me an iPhone last year which had a few fancy features, but in the end I gave it to one of my kids and am rockin my 4 year old flip phone that everyone makes fun of me for.

My preferred method of idea capture has been, and still is calling and leaving myself a voicemail. Although I was invited to Google Voice and now I call that number instead (as it actually transcribes the VM and sends it to me as text via email as well.) Awesome!
